Unfortunately, the 2024 Harvey Harvest Festival has been cancelled.

Don’t worry, we’re working hard on delivering the 2025 Harvey Harvest Festival and will keep you posted right here.

So what happened to 2024?

The Harvey Harvest Festival is a significant community event which showcases our reputation for fantastic produce while bringing economic benefit to the region.

Organised each year by the Harvey Mainstreet Inc Committee and held during March, the Festival has been a much-loved part of our annual calendar for over 20 years.

With planning already underway for 2024, it was announced in late September that the Festival’s historic venue, Snell’s Park, will no longer be given approval to host community events, owing to safety concerns related to its location within the rail corridor.

Sourcing an alternative location for the Festival – especially during the heat of March – is not a decision to be taken lightly, with numerous considerations such as ample shade, suitable stallholder / stage locations, parking, safety, plus infrastructure and amenity requirements.

All arrangements related to holding an event of this scope are dependent upon a suitable location being in place many months in advance, such as sourcing grants and sponsorships and attracting exhibitors and performers.

Accordingly, the decision has reluctantly been made to suspend the event for 2024.

The Harvey Mainstreet Committee is devoted to ensuring that the Harvey Harvest Festival remains relevant, safe and appealing to locals and visitors alike and will be a fixture for many years to come.

The suspension of the 2024 event will allow the Committee to take stock; to review and improve the Festival’s offerings, in order to widen its scope and appeal, and ultimately, enhance its community and economic benefit.

We look forward to welcoming you to an exceptional Harvey Harvest Festival in 2025.
